Who I am

Kia ora, I’m Emma, a delivery and transformation specialist based in Wellington, New Zealand, with 20+ years’ experience across software engineering, consulting, coaching, training, facilitation, delivery and transformation. I’ve worked in financial services, government, e-commerce and tech, with clients across EMEA, the USA and Australasia, and led distributed teams spanning five countries.

I work pragmatically and transparently. I’m honest about the realities of delivering value to customers. When roadblocks surface, I address them early, working to identify the root cause and provide alternative solutions before they cause a crisis. I aim to get the best outcome for all involved and am not afraid to say no if it is in the best interests of achieving your outcomes. I know that efficiency, effectiveness and engagement are key to success, so I build the processes and relationships that enable folks to do their best work.

When you work with me, you work with me. You’re paying for my experience and expertise, and that is exactly what you get. I’m there with you from first email through engagement conclusion and beyond.

That same dedication goes into the work itself. I start by understanding your situation, your people, your constraints, and work from there. What we build fits the problem in front of us, not the template that worked somewhere else.

Most importantly, I help build your capability rather than make you reliant on me. When our engagement ends, what I’ve added stays with your people. The skills, processes, and confidence don’t leave with me.
